ULTRASOUND IN INGUINAL HERNIA
In males it is usually inguinoscrotal.
Predominantly solid scrotal mass with some hypoechoic / cystic areas due to loops of bowel.

Peristalsis.
Smooth scrotal contour.
Testis peripherally displaced by mass.
Avascular on color doppler.
Complications:
Bowel obstruction.
Intra-abdominal mass.
Torsion of the testis.
