These features are secondary to prolonged oligohydramnios secondary to
bilateral renal agenesis, or anomalies in which the kidneys are present but
there is an obstructed urethra, prolonged rupture of membranes, or severe growth
retardation (1).
- Hypoplasia of the lungs.
- Bladder hypoplasia.
- Potter's facies.
- Flattened nose.
- Parrot-beaked nose.
- Recessed chin.
- Epicanthic folds.
- Wrinkled redundant
skin.
- Skin crease - curves
around inner canthus of eye and runs laterally over the cheek.
- Low set ears (helices
often folded).
- Hypertelorism.
- Brachycephaly.
- Limb deformities.
- Bowing of the legs.
- Clubbed feet.
- Broad hands.
- Growth retardation.
- Vernix nodules (amnion
nodosum) on placental membranes.
