Fallopian Tubes and Fimbria

- Paired
structures.
- ± 10cm long.
- Attached to superolateral aspects of uterus.
- Usually run
through broad ligament but may be found in the cul-de-sac.
- Distal end
terminates in finger-like fimbria adjacent to
the ovary.

Ultrasound
- Not constantly
visualized in non-pathologic conditions.
- Usually seen with
higher frequency probes.
- Visualization facilitated
by the presence of free intraperitoneal fluid.
